Maharishi Vedic Science and Technology Cultural Cooperative, with headquarters at R. Prof. Veiga Ferreira, 15-B, 1600-802, Lisbon, is a cooperative registered under nipc 509307965 which has as its mission the well-being and is actively contributing in our country to the population's brain coherence (measured through Electroencephalogram) as an answer to the imminent challenges that the post-industrial era poses to us both on a global and local scale.<\/p>\n

This is due to its dissemination and teaching of the theoretical basis and the practical tools of the Science of Creative Intelligence (CIC), which is the systematic research of the etiology, development and extension of the Full Potential of human Consciousness, through a specific approach that provides the individual with the use of the full resources of his or her brain physiology.<\/p>\n

The practical aspect of CIC is the set of Maharishi Technologies of the Unified Field, which enable each individual to access the totality of his or her resources and creative potentialities.These Technologies have demonstrated both in their subjective aspects and at the scientific level in more than 700 scientific papers, (half peer-reviewed), through 250 university departments, published in more than 380 scientific journals - to be of increasing effectiveness over 49 years, in the areas of Business Productivity, Health, Education, Defense, Security, Social Prevention and Rehabilitation and World Peace, valued in the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations.<\/p>\n

Transcendental Meditation, TM can be defined as a neuro-linguistic exercise that is practiced for 15 to 20 minutes twice a day. This technique synthesizes and orders the functional unity of the brain's physiology in a pleasurable and effortless way. While freeing the individual from deep-rooted structural stress, his or her consciousness develops field qualities such as increased energy, creativity, field independence, infinite correlation, well-being, equanimity, freedom, high synergy, and happiness, as identified in the Laws of nature through modern Unified Field Theory of physics.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\r\n\t\t

Transcendental Meditation is a mental technique that allows the spontaneous shift of individual attention from the periphery level of the mind (object-referent) to its natural anchor, - or its level of self-reference that resides deep within.<\/p>\n

To the latter corresponds the experience of a fourth state of consciousness, as discovered by Robert Keith Wallace at UCLA, and published in 1972 in Scientific American. This experience of a hypometabolic state of alertness provides an increase in IQ of 5 points, on average after two years.In scientific terms it is called automatic transcendence by neuroscientists like Fred Travis.On the other hand, there is no other technique in the world that demonstrates these results.<\/p>\n

The practice of TM brings about a 50% reduction in overall health care costs, as it de-accumulates the stress due to the routines of populations in unfortunate and systematic collision with Nature. According to the AHA the 'American Heart Association', TM is unique in reducing strokes by 66% for meditators who have practiced it for more than 5 years, and to a 47% reduction for those who have practiced it up to that point.<\/p>\n

Its benefits include all illnesses of psychosomatic origin, anxiety, hypertension, insomnia, lack of motivation and general meaning to life.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\r\n\t\t

Their remuneration is used to cover part of the expenses inherent to this activity and to develop new projects, such as humanitarian projects in schools to prevent radicalism and violence on a global scale. In Portugal, more than 2270 students, teachers and parents have learned TM in Schools from 2017 to early 2020, through the projects 'Time of Silence'\/ Transcendental Meditation EUROPE and FRIENDS. They were co-funded by the Erasmus+ Program.<\/p>\n

Mantras are universal\/creative sounds of Nature that emerge from the Unified Field of the Laws of Nature and proceed continuously to the Creation and expansion of the Universe.<\/p>\n

The more recent Superstring Theory gives an understanding of this reality as frequencies and creative reverberations as an infinite field of space-time that unfolds in various tones continuously.<\/p>\n

Gravitational waves reverberate and resonate from the Unified Field giving expression\/manifestation to an ordering of tones, such as: the subatomic, nuclear, atomic, molecular, biochemical, organic life form, down to the more mechanical or superficial, that we are more familiar with in terms of scientific paradigm.<\/p>\n

This science of the 'chemistry of sound' as Kilby Prize-winning physicist John Hagelin calls it, was originally recorded in the vast Vedic literature that is over 5,000 years old.<\/p>\n

From the theological commentaries to this fascinating compilation of texts emerged the major and well-connected religions of the East: Buddhism, Hinduism, and Jainism.<\/p>\n

Transcendental Meditation teachers are trained by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in this area through Teacher Courses and their updates\/certification.<\/p>\n

Strictly speaking, only after attending these Training Courses, these and similar questions can be answered given their degree of language and expertise, although these are fortunately neither mystical nor esoteric in any way, in the case of Transcendental Meditation, which speaks the language of our time - or Zeitgeist.<\/p>\n

As for the sound 'Om': It is a universal mantra for monastic and celibate life, exclusively. Alone it should not be used except by monks according to Maharishi's Knowledge.<\/p>\n
